Intercultural Day 2019

19th Jun 2019

June 2019

Our Junior Infant class represents nine countries from around the world.  While we have alot of similarities between us, it is very important to celebrate our differences with great respect and dignity.

Therefore we took part in our annual Intercultural Day of celebrations.  We sang many songs and rhymes in our own native languages, painted flags, made projects, dressed up in national costume/colours of our native countries and brought in traditional foods to taste.  It was a wonderful success and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

“We live now in a global village and we are in one single family. It’s our responsibility to bring friendship and love from all different places around the world and to live together in peace." --Jackie Chan
