Active School Week 2023

21st Apr 2023

As part of Active School Week, we took a stroll to Blessington Basin.  On our walk, we noted some signs of spring e.g. spring flowers growing (daffodils, bluebells, daisies, tulips and dandelions).  We also saw the trees beginning to bud and some had already leaves on them.

We completed a little 'Minibeast Hunt' as part of SESE while on our walk.  We recorded some of the minibeast we saw when we got back to the classroom.  We saw snails, worms, butterflies, spiders and ladybirds,

We also saw many different types of birds e.g. pigeons, blackbirds, ducks, ducklings, swans and cygnets,  We also got to see a heron, which we were all amazed by.

Finally, we got to spend some tine in the playground, which was a lot of fun!
