Important information on change to generic tracksuit from the start of the 2026/2027 school year
From the start of the new school year (2026/2027) St. Peter’s N.S. is moving to a generic navy school tracksuit (following Parents' Association consultation) to help reduce costs for parents/families. Our formal school uniform will remain the same. We will also be adding an iron-on crest to both the formal school uniform and the navy generic tracksuit from the start of the new school year. The iron on crest will be available to purchase from the office (they will be sold in pairs (2 crests for €5)) shortly. We will notify parents in advance.
The formal school uniform (maroon jumper/cardigan, white or grey shirt/blouse, grey trousers/skirt/pinafore (grey or navy trouser shorts in Term 3 (summer uniform)) and (optional) maroon tie) will be available to purchase in multiple stores. We suggest elasticated waists if purchasing trousers for infant pupils.
Our new generic tracksuit consists of navy jumper and navy bottoms with a white/red polo short and the iron-on crest. We would recommend that parents/guardians purchase the generic navy tracksuit in Dunnes Stores or Marks and Spencer on grounds of quality and durability.
It is expected that any pupils from senior infants-6th classes can continue to wear the crested tracksuit that we have currently (it will not be possible to purchase it from the end of this school year (2025/2026)) until they have grown out of it (if parents/pupils wish) as we gradually phase out the old crested tracksuit.
I have included images of the formal uniform (for boys and girls), the individual pieces of the formal school uniform as well as individual pieces of the new navy generic tracksuit.
If any parents/guardians have any questions/queries about our new generic navy tracksuit, please call (01) 8680501 or email the office (office@stpetersns.net).
