Learning is Fun with Ms. O'Driscoll

We have been so lucky to have Ms. O'Driscoll teaching us for the last few weeks.  She will continue to work with us until the end of April, which we are very excited about.

Have a look at some of the fastastic work we have been doing with her.

In Aistear, we went to 'The Farm' roleplay area where we were given the opportunity to feed the animals (oats) and milk the cows. This week, we have been working in The Farmers Market where we get to buy and sell local farm produce.

In Art, we made some farm animals, spring chicks (using fork painting), daffodils as part of Daffodil Day and printing with fruit and vegetables.

As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge, we sang three songs/rhymes: Dhá Ean Bheaga, Rollaí Pollaí and Babóg Siorc which all were enjoyed by the other classes in our school hall.

In Maths, we looked at the concept of 'Time' and we sequence daily events while remembering the Days of the Week. We also looked at the idea of 'Night and Day' and sorted pictures that are associated for 'Night and Day'. We have moved onto the number 5 this week and we have been working hard to identify sets of 5, make sets of 5 and write the number 5.

In SESE, we looked at the whole idea of 'Farm to Fork' by looking at the journey of our milk. We even got to make our very own butter in class, which was enjoyed and eaten with delicious cream crackers.

Thank you, Ms. O'Driscoll for all your hard work!
