We celebrated World Book Day with a range of activities this week. On Monday 6th class designed their favourite book cover. They also lead 3 Junior Infant classes in shared reading lessons this week. We visited Ms. Manning’s JI, Ms. Danaher’s JI and Mr. McConigley’s JI twice. Each child partnered up with a junior infant and read stories to them. Both classes really enjoyed the activity and the junior infants loved having the ‘big kids’ in their class.
On Thursday we dressed up as characters from some of our favourite books. Everybody got involved and the costumes were great. We had characters such as Mary Poppins, Adrian Mole and Sherlock Holmes in the class for the day! Remember to keep reading 6th class!!
