Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School for the 2026/2027 school year - Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School will commence from the 1st of October (at 9:30am) and will close on the 19th of December 2025 (5pm) Please see home page and parents' section for more details. In May the children studied the very famous painter and sculptor. They studied his life, education and techniques he used in his artwork. After our study was complete the children tried their hands at their own recreation of the famous piece “The creation of Adam”, focusing on the anatomy and details in the hands. Dare I say we have some Michelangelos in 6th class. As a fun activity we then went down to Mr. McConigley’s Junior Infant classroom, lay on the ground and painted our drawings just like Michelangelo did when he painted the Sistine Chapel. It is a lot harder than it looks to paint upside down! A lot of fun was had!
