We looked at some photos of bridges around the world and discussed what makes a good bridge. We then set about trying to design our own bridges using paper, and testing out their strength by counting how many counters (pretend 'cars') the bridge could support. We experimented with making some changes, e.g. creating walls, adding an arch underneath, and corrugating the bridge to see if we could make the bridge stronger!
