On Friday, 15th of March, our 45 boys and girls in 5th and 6th classes and their parents/guardians were present for our Confirmation celebration. There was a massive turnout in St. Peter's Church.
Thanks to our class teachers Ms. Carroll, Ms. Horan, Ms. Hughes and Ms. McDermott for all their hard work over the past number of months. Thanks also to Ms. Vaughan (RE co-ordinator) and Collette (our secretary who prepared our booklets) and to Sally who was also present on the night. Thanks to Fr. Devlin and the staff of St. Peter's church as well as Ann Marie, Terry, Fergus and Donna (our four catechists who have been working on preparations over the past number of months).
A special word of thanks to our magnificent choir and their directors Ms. Kirrane. Ms. Dignam and Ms. McCabe. Thanks to our two soloists and six cantors and to our violin trio (Arron, Isabella and Lily) for performing Pachelbel's Canon towards the end of the communion ceremony.
Our boys and girls are a credit to themselves, their families and their communities.
