Correspondence re. book collection and remote learning plans

8th Jan 2021

Dear parents/ guardians,

Having consulted with staff earlier this week and arranged for the collection of your child’s school books as part of provision for online teaching and learning, we decided to give you as much notice as possible in advance of the collection.

Collection times will take place on Tuesday, 12th of January and are based on the original staggered times and entry points (two junior infant classes collection point changed from 1 to 3). We are widening the arrival windows to lessen congestion at the school gates and to prevent contact between parents and pupils.

If you have more than one child in a family, we will try and accommodate you as quickly as we can. Can we remind all parents/guardians to please wear masks outside the school and maintain a social distance of at least 2m from other adults/children AT ALL TIMES. Please do not arrive before your set times and leave the premises as soon as possible to avoid congestion.

Class teachers will be located at each main entrance with your child’s books. Online teaching will officially start on Wednesday, 13th of January as most of the staff will be on site in school on Tuesday, 12th.
