In science, we have been learning all about sound and how it travels. 3rd class were given a task; they had to come up with a way to help teddy sleep (the sound coming from his baby brother crying kept him up all night!). Using a variety of recyclable materials, 3rd class were split into groups and they began to brainstorm. They tested different materials to see which ones were most successful in blocking out noise. Once they had collected these materials, they began to design and make ear phones/ear plugs that teddy could wear. This was a really fun activity, and 3rd class came up with some fantastic designs and used some very creative materials.
