February Updates! 🌸

2nd Feb 2022

Well done Sixth Class on all your hard work over the month of January! ✨ Just wanted to share some updates from the classroom...

1) The children who are completing their Confirmation with us this year celebrated their Ceremony of Light on January 20th. They had a wonderful time in the church - very atmospheric with the candles lighting and the beautiful musical accompaniment. Well done to both children and parents alike who read out prayers of the faithful and reflections! The children had a no uniform day that day and they also benefitted from an extra P.E. slot in the afternoon - soccer and basketball seemed to be the most popular choices (as pictured!).

2)  The children worked hard this month to complete their clay pieces as part of their Art lessons on a Friday (as pictured!). We are also in the process of creating a Spring Door Art Piece - the children decided to create a farmhouse scene and a cherry blossom tree... (pictures pending!).

3) The children have been taking Tag Rugby lessons with our amazing coach Juliet Short every Tuesday! See the children in action, learning lots about passing the ball left, right and backwards while also staying light and low on their feet! Fair play to all involved!

4) We celebrated Grandparents' Day on Wednesday 26th of January as part of Catholic Schools' Week. We had the privilege of listening to our classmates share stories and facts about their Grandparents on this very special day. Well done to all involved!

5) The children celebrated St Brigid's Day yesterday which of course marks the beginning of Spring. The children decorated our School Sacred Space with prayers and crosses this week (as pictured), well done to all who participated!
