Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School for the 2026/2027 school year - Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School will commence from the 1st of October (at 9:30am) and will close on the 19th of December 2025 (5pm) Please see home page and parents' section for more details. Enrolment forms will be available from the 1st of October 2025.
We spoke about the different objects and made predictions about whether we though each object would float or sink. We then tested each one out and were surprised by some of the results!
We then designed playdoh boats and tested them out in the water to see if they would float or sink. We realised that it was quite tricky to make a boat that floated🙊. The boats that floated were thin, flat, had no holes and sturdy walls to stop the water getting in.
We had so much fun learning about floating and sinking🤩
