Today, 6th class visited Glasnevin Cemetery for a tour and workshop. We visited the graves of many historical figures such as Daniel O'Connell, Éamon de Valera, James Larkin and Michael Collins. We learned many interesting facts about Glasnevin Cemetery and Irish history from the early 1900's on. We also took part in a workshop where we learned about primary and secondary sources, Glasnevin Cemetery records and chronology. We learned a lot on our day out.
