Jumping Raisins

12th Nov 2020

Science Week was so much fun! We have lots of budding future scientists in our class who will no doubt change the world for the better! We carried out an experiment called 'Jumping Raisins' where we compared how raisins behave in water v fizzy drinks. In water, they sink to the bottom, while in fizzy drinks, the bubbles attach to the raisins and lift them up! Once they reach the surface, the bubbles burst, and the gas is released into the air. This makes the raisins fall back down to the bottom of the glass.
