Our class learned all about the life of St. Brigid, her monastery in Co. Kildare and the story of her cloak. We discussed some traditions that are associated with St.Brigid's Day, such as the Brídeog and the Brat Bríde.
One member of our class had not only heard of the Brat Bríde but had carried out this tradition by leaving a piece of cloth outside overnight on the 31st of January - the eve of St. Brigid's Day. We also learned about the St. Brigid's cross. Here we are making our own St. Brigid's crosses.
