Ms. Danaher’s Senior Infants stepped back in time and learned about how butter was made long ago. We had great fun exploring how people used to make butter using churns. We poured double cream into jars and secured the lids tightly. Every child had their chance to 'Shake the Jar' and before long we noticed changes as the butter separated from the buttermilk. When the butter was taken from the jars, a little salt was added. We then spread the butter on crackers and with great excitement enjoyed a lovely snack.
