Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School for the 2026/2027 school year - Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School will commence from the 1st of October and will close on the 19th of December 2025. Following the visit of Senator Mary Fitzpatrick on Friday, 18th of November to Ms. Gavaghan’s 6th class, we were also delighted to welcome Mary Lou McDonald (president of Sinn Féin) to the school yesterday (21st of November). Having met her at the opening to Phizzfest a few months ago, she kept her promise to visit the school. She was greeted warmly and proceeded to leader’s questions in one of our senior classes. As Ms. Gavaghan’s class are currently studying politics and politicians at the moment, they put their names forward to put Mary Lou through her paces. They posed questions relating to her influences, who inspired her, her toughest debate, the advantages/disadvantages of being the leader of her party, if she had always wanted to become a politician and whether she enjoyed the role.
Ms. Gavaghan’s class are going to visit the Dáil on the 25th of January having being invited by Senator Mary Fitzpatrick.
