This week in Ms. Gavaghan’s 6th class, we have been busy learning about the Native American tribes. We explored the Sioux tribe of North Dakota in detail, looking at their culture and traditions, clothing, food, homes, art and music. We had great fun constructing Teepees and designing them with Native American symbols and creating Totem Poles to represent tribal families.
