Special Sam Surprisingly Sails into St. Peter's
On Wednesday, 6th of November, the Sam Maguire cup was 'lifted aloft' by our true blue Dub Derek and ably assisted by one of our 5th class boys. The pupils had been expecting a surprise but not special Sam. Unfortunately we couldn't coax any of the Dublin players in as (we'd been informed) they're preparing for the six-in-a-row already! The pupils enjoyed the spectacle none the less and jumped for joy as it was raised into the air!
Our school orchestra had the pleasure of being invited to perform in the Mansion House (Lord Mayor of Dublin's residence) as part of the relaunch of Tusla (now TESS- Tusla Educational Support Services). Our magnificent ensemble entertained the crowd prior to the event happening and also performed two pieces at the end. We also have an Outreach programme planned before the end of the year.
