We are very proud of our past pupil, Lily Yang (currently in 1st year in Mount Anville Secondary School). Over the past few days she had entered the "Terry O'Connor trophy" (last Saturday) and the "Junior Violin solo under 13" on Monday, 9th of June. She came first in both competitions (there were 45 competitors across both competitions). The Terry O'Connor Trophy competition is a very tough one where she is up against string players as old as 18. Lily is just 13. In the next few days, she'll focus on her piano competitions, which are the "John Field Cup," the "Rhona Marshall Cup," and the "Junior Piano Solo Under 13."
Lily will return to the school on the 16th of June to perform as part of our end of year strings' open day open rehearsal/concert.
