Science Activity: Building Boats! ⛴️

Today we completed our science projects based around how to build a boat that floats and holds some weight. We worked on building a firm and watertight base and we choose suitably thick materials for our creation. We wanted our boat to have depth too in order to withstand the consequence of putting weight in the boat and to avoid a capsizing! Our weights were a clay doughnut and a clay model of a Viking long boat. Lots of fun was had, lots of exploration and play too. Well done to all involved! Shipbuilders and engineers in the making I think!
