Science Week

11th Nov 2019

For Science week we decided to investigate different materials to see which ones were waterproof. We recorded our predictions before we began testing our materials. We tested tissue, cardboard, kitchen roll, plastic, fabric and rubber. After testing all of the materials, we decided to create a coat that would keep our class teddy Bertie dry in the rain. The children decided that rubber would be the best material to use. We cut up some pink rubber gloves and added pom poms for buttons. We tested our design by sprinkling some water on Bertie, luckily it kept him dry! Bertie was delighted with his new rain coat!
