Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School for the 2026/2027 school year - Admissions/Enrolments to St. Peter's National School will commence from the 1st of October (at 9:30am) and will close on the 19th of December 2025 (5pm) Please see home page and parents' section for more details. On Friday, 11th of October, St. Peter's were delighted to welcome Minister Paschal Donohoe (Minister for Finance) to the school as part of the annual Maths Week Celebrations. Minister Donohoe (a local man) was on hand to observe a presentation by Tim (a representative of Maths Week Ireland 2019) with Ms A. Horan's 6th class.
The pupils were required to work in small groups in order to prepare their own budgets and came up with some unique ideas. Minister Donohoe spoke to the class about the importance of budgeting and why they would need to budget in the future (if they are not already doing do now!!!).
He subsequently presented at an awards ceremony in St. Declan's College with an Taoiseach (Leo Varadkar) later that morning.
