Over the last few weeks we have been learning all about the Vikings- where they originated from, their longships, their time in Ireland, their houses, their farms, their feasts, their beliefs and the Norse gods and goddesses. Through reading our Explorer's books, watching videos from the National Museum of Ireland and completing research on the iPads, 3rd class really are Viking experts now! This week we used all of our knowledge to plan, design and begin building different aspects of Viking life which you can see in the photos below. We have worked so hard and really enjoyed learning about the Vikings and can't wait to finish decorating our projects!
