Well-being week update and COVID-19

12th May 2021

Dear Parents , guardians and members of school community,

There is a wonderful buzz of activity around the school as we are now fully engaged in well- being week activities and initiatives, including preparing for our talent show tomorrow.

Our pupils are more active both within the classroom and as part of additional movement breaks. Pupils and teachers are equally delighted to be here together.

If your child is not well - please do not send him/her to school if any of the following apply:

  • If your child has a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or more
  • any other common symptoms of COVID-19 - a new cough, loss or changed sense of taste or smell, shortness of breath or an existing breathing condition that has recently become worse
  • been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • been living with someone who is unwell and may have COVID-19
  • other symptoms of COVID-19, such as sore throat or headaches
  • diarrhoea
  • returned from another country in the last 14 days. Please do not give your child medicine which mask symptoms and then send them to school.   This may result in spreading of corona virus. We have not had any positive cases to date in the school.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office. Thank you for respecting government and HSE guidelines and wearing a face mask when opposite/on school grounds.

kind regards,

Ray Ryan
