Today some classes joined a wetlands webinar as part of “World Wetland Day.” Ms Oliver’s 2nd class, Ms McGraths 4th Class, Ms Horan’s 5th Class and Ms Hughes 6th Class took part.
There were two speakers Alan Balfe from the Tralee Bay Wetlands and Katie Smirnova from FarmPEAT's "Love your Wellies" Campaign. They talked to us about the different types of Irish Wetlands, the biodiversity that it supports and how it can be protected.
Katie had a short interactive quiz as part of her presentation which was a lot of fun!
