Numeracy through Soccer with Bohemians FC

Ms. Vaughan (HSCL) has kindly organised a collaborative project with Bohemians FC. Each week representatives from the club come in a conduct a lesson with pupils from 2 classes. The aim of the sessions is to promote numeracy through soccer. We are hoping this project will prove beneficial for our students.

A number of schools in the locality have been involved in this project so far (with great success).

Following a recent awards ceremony,

FAI President Donal Conway was delighted to see the work done in the programme. “It’s very pleasing to see the huge number of children who have participated in this programme. Football has the power to change people’s lives in so many positive ways and the innovative approach of the club's More than a Club team to improving the numeracy skills of children using football as a tool is to be highly commended”.
